Buenos Aires is Argentina’s big, cosmopolitan capital city. Its center is the Plaza de Mayo, lined with stately 19th-century buildings including Casa Rosada, the iconic, balconied presidential palace. Other major attractions include Teatro Colón, a grand 1908 opera house with nearly 2,500 seats, and the modern MALBA museum, displaying Latin American art.
The streets are lined with amazing graffiti art. We will meet the city’s graffiti artists and visit local galleries that specialize in street and graffiti art throughout the neighborhoods of Colegiales, Chacarita, Villa Crespo and Palermo.
One of the most epic things to see are the massive glaciers that float around the globe. Buenos Aires offers an opportunity to experience the majestic icy expanse of the Perito Moreno Glacier.
You can’t go to Buenos Aires with out tasting some exquisite wines and fabulous foods. Visiting several of the elegant neighborhood’s best restaurants to sample authentic cuisine such as empanadas, dulce de leche and parilla are definitely on the list.
Also known for great architecture, we can marvel at its picturesque landscape and capture memorable photos of its islands before traveling by bus to the city of Tigre where we will explore the region’s unique culture and fascinating history on comfortable boat ride through the sprawling Paraná Delta.
